How to be a Winner

How to be a Winner

Every man should learn how to be a winner.  You need to get the most out of life.

Why you should learn how to be a winner

And why is that?

Because if you’re now figuring out how to be a winner, then you’re on the path to be a loser.

The 80/20 rule applies here.  80 % of people are losers, and 20% are winners.  I’d even go further and say that 90 to 95% of people are losing in life.10% or less are real winners.  The unfortunate truth is that not everyone can be a winner.

There has to be losers for there to be winners.  But good thing for you is that most men are losers.  So there’s plenty of room for more winners.

Winning is good for you

It’s good for you to win.

As men, success a big part of our happiness.  It’s not the only thing of course.  If you’re a shitty human being, then you can still be depressed and winning in certain areas.

But I define being a winner as learning how to win in everything.  This includes your own personal happiness.

Winning is simply getting the outcome you want. And getting the outcome you want is exactly what you want.

Everyone wants to know how to win. Because everyone wants things.

It’s in your best interest to be learn how to be a winner.  With your career/job, with your dating options, with your fitness, with your fulfillment, and with your happiness.

You’ll have a better life.  The point of all my artciles is to help you to win in different areas of your life.

Whether it’s dating

Or if it’s with business

Or fitness, your mindset, and lifestyle.

Figuring how to be a winner is crucial to the quality of your life. But while you can succeed in individual areas, it’s also important to become a winner overall.

Figuring out how to be a winner

figuring out how to win

So how do you win in life?

Well besides tactical ways for specific things, like talking to girls or starting a business, you need to make yourself into someone who’s always trying to win.

You do this by adopting the

  1. mentality of a winner
  2. schedule of a winner
  3. self belief of a winner
  4. perseverance of a winner

Doing this will allow you to progress much more quickly in specific areas because your overall frame will be much stronger.

Mentality of a winner

Winners have a different kind of brain.

Almost too positive about their abilities.

If you want to learn how be a winner, but you’re worried about being seen as conceited, or as a jerk, or self absorbed, then just stop now.

Because winners are all of those things. I f you want to really be a winner, you have to be selfish as fuck.  You NEED to have a different kind of mentality.

Figuring out how to be a winner means you change your mentality and that you

  • Have clear goals
  • Are always working towards your goals
  • Figuring out the fastest way to reach these goals
  • Developing solutions to challenges that arise
  • Destroy all the excuses you have
  • Block out negative self talk
  • Cut off people in your life who try to talk you out of your goals
  • Won’t take no for answer when it comes to your success
  • Are always thinking of your next move
  • Align your short-term and long-term goals

Winners don’t win by accident.  They have a million things going on in their head. But these thoughts are all focused on accomplishing the goals that this individual has.

A winner needs to be ruthlessly focused with their mental energy.

Schedule of a winner

elon musk - schedule of a winner

One of the easiest ways to learn how to be a winner overnight is adopting the schedule of one.  You can make yourself busy and productive as fuck if you make a schedule and stick to it.  At least in theory.  The schedule is something that most men understand, but don’t do right away.

That’s because for the vast majority if men, it takes time to build up to a ridiculously productive and on point schedule. And most men, and people, simply don’t monitor how they spend their time.

That’s because they waste it.  I’m extremely efficient with how I spend my time, pretty much down to a science.   And if you also want to know how to be a winner, then you need to nail down a similar schedule.

Schedule Monday through Friday

For example, Monday through Friday your day should look like

  • 6:30 – wake up, workout, shower
  • 8am – 5pm, work at your job
  • 6pm – 9 or 10pm, work on your side business

If you have your own business, then

  • 6:30 – wake up, workout, shower
  • 8am – 6pm, work on your own business
  • 7pm – 10pm, free time, meet up with girls, etc.

Or something very similar.

If you own your own business and make decent money, then you get the reward of more flexibility.  In your free time you can date women, have a girlfriend over, meet up with your friends, or go out dancing.  But if you’re stuck in wage slavery, then you need to cut out extra shit until you are on your own.  On the weekend, your schedule should look something like

Schedule Saturday and Sunday

  • 6:30am – wake up, workout, shower
  • 8am – 6pm – work on your business
  • 7-12am – meet up with girls, friends family, go out, etc.

Or if you have your own business

  • 6:30am – wake up, workout, shower
  • 8am – 3pm – work on your business
  • 4pm-12am – meet up with girls, friends family, go out, etc.

As you can see, the entrepreneur whose independent has a little more flexibility. But you’re still working on the weekends regardless.  With sometime in the afternoon / evening to enjoy some beautiful women, go out, see your bros, or whatever you want to do.

Nevertheless, a HUGE part of learning how to be a winner is becoming a producer and putting in the work.

Not just being busy, but actually getting shit done.  If you do nothing else, get your schedule on point.

There are so many hours in the day you’re wasting.  Stop throwing away your life and you’ll realize that you can become a winner with just a little more focus on your time.

Self belief of a winner

self belief - how to be a winner

Knowing how to be a winner means having the self belief of a winner.

You’re not a winner by chance.  You win because you know you can do something, you go out there, and you do it.  Action is crucial.  But in order to consistently make the actions winners make, you have to have the self belief of one.

Just like building your confidence up, start with small wins.  Get a phone number, build the website for your business, do free work to get a testimonial, join the gym.

You can have big goals, but then start with small goals to build up to the bigger ones.  The small wins will fuel your big wins.  And your self belief will start to grow.

Whenever you get a win, tell yourself:

  • “of course I (fill in the achieved goal here), I’m a winner”
  • “of course I fucked her on the first date, I’m a winner”
  • “of course I got another client, I’m a winner”

It’s important to get small wins, then recognize them as validation that you are an overall winner.  Because then you won’t just associate that small win as luck or that you’re a winner in just one category of your life.  You’ll start to see that you’re winner in every major area of your life.

Perseverance of a winner

If you never give up, then you can only win.  A lot of figuring out how to be a winner is just perseverance.  You’re not always going to win every scenario and situation. But if you can get back up after losing, then that will fuel your growth for future wins.

Will Smith says that if he’s racing you on a treadmill, you’re getting off first, or he’s dying.  He simply refuses to lose.

Conor McGregor says he’ll win or he’ll learn.

Whichever way you want to look at it, perseverance is key.  If you fail at a goal, then just tell yourself:

  • “I needed to learn from this failure to get better”
  • “I’m going to win later because of this loss now”
  • “I’m one step closer to further success”

It may seem like stupid self talk.  But a big part of learning how to be a winner is having a crazy perseverance about you.

Be delusional if you have to

You almost have to lie to yourself at first.  About how much of a winner you are. And that any failure is just setting you up for future success.  Imagine you have to be slightly delusional.  Not completely delusional.  Because then you’ll never look at the reasons you lost and you’ll never improve.

But slightly delusional.  You still look at why you lost, and how to get better. But deep down you know you’re the shit.  The lost doesn’t bother you because you’re not just a logical robot / cyborg.  You’re a perseverant as a lion on the hunt.  The loss is nothing to you.  You’ll figure out what mistakes were made and move on. Because if you’re persistent, and put the energy in to improve, then you’ll begin to win more and more.

Winning in every major area of your life

Now apply all of these things to be a winner in every major area.

Major areas to learn how to be a winner:

  • Business/money
  • Relationships
  • Body and health

It’s not good enough just to be good at one of these areas.  You want to win at every single one of them.

Adopt the mentality of a winner.  Work these areas into your schedule.  Fit time to workout, put time in at your job, then work on your side business.  Then reward yourself with having a woman over, seeing your girlfriend, or going out and meeting girls on the weekend.  Obtain the self belief of a winner in each area by telling yourself positive affirmations.  And combine that with the small wins that build your confidence up.

Then be persistent.

Play to win

lebron james - play to win

You’ll get better with consistent effort and time.  You can become an overall winner in your life.  Never give up and just keep at it.  Most men never get started to try and win, and those who do get complacent.

But with a few years of hard work in each area, you’ll already be crushing the competition.  Because life is a competition.  It’s a game.  And since you’re in the game, you might as well play to win.
